Are you qualified to receive DOLE-AKAP Cash Assistance during this pandemic?

Starting last April 13, 2020, all OFW who qualify for the DOLE-AKAP program can now process their applications.

DOLE-AKAP program for OFW's is a financial assistance for displaced OFW's (land based and sea based) that lost their job during this COVID-19 pandemic. Qualified OFW's will receive one time cash assistance of USD$200 or PHP10,000. Not much, but at least can help us thru this down time.

It covers regular/documented OFW and qualified undocumented OFW base on the existing guideline set by OWWA and listed on their website.

Those who have experienced job placement due to current pandemic are eligible whether they are still overseas or in the Philippines. They also must not receive any financial support from their employer or receiving countries.

For application, visit http://dole-akap.owwa.gov.ph and fillup all the details. You need below documents to proceed:

* Passport or Travel document copy

* Flight ticket or boarding pass as evidence that you are back in Philippines

* Proof of overseas employment (ex. OEC, residence ID, etc.)

* Proof of loss of employment due to COVID 19 (ex. notice of termination, etc.)

OWWA will validate all your details. They may contact you if needed.

Once approved, your documents will be submitted to DOLE regional office and they will send you the money via money transfer or PESONET within 5 days.
